For most of the city students aspiring to get into engineering or medical colleges, Tuesday is the D-Day. The Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER) will declare the results of the Maharashtra Health and Technology Common Entrance Examination (MHT-CET) at 8am on its website.
"The results will be out on our websites—www.dmer.org and www.dte.org.in—from 8am onwards. We have already dispatched mark sheets to the respective colleges, which will be distributed to the students from 10am," DMER joint director Dr Pravin Shingare said.

The MHT-CET is the single exam for admissions to health sciences, engineering and pharmacy courses in the state. The admission for veterinary sciences (BVSc and AH) are also conducted through the same exam.
This year for the first time, the entrance exam for the Bachelor of Paramedical Technology (BPMT) will also be conducted through the MHT-CET 2011. For most of the city students, MHT-CET results are their last hope of pursuing a career in medicine or engineering.
